Ishqiya-Movie Gallery

Already the film had been on the cutting board and now yet again its producer Vishal Bhardwaj had been at the Censor Board to save his film.

Now the film’s promos have become the target and they have been tagged as ‘A’ by the panel for carrying filthy language.

According to reports, the promos had a line that went “Naadi tale H**** aur Peepal tale P****” and the censors gave an ‘A’ certificate to the 90-second promo. Following this, the cast and crew of ‘Ishqiya’ got together to make some changes to the promo so that it gets a ‘U/A’ certificate. Now, the words have been changed to “Naadi tale Khayenge aur peepal tale piyenge”.

Now the makers of the film are keeping their fingers crossed and waiting for Board’s next decision. Said co-producer Mansi Maroo, “Basically the promos of the film, because of the language, are not being given a ‘U/A’ certificate, which is required to be screened on television. There are some modifications being made by the director Abhishek Chaube and Nasserbhai who is very helpful. They have made some changes while dubbing for the promo and hopefully it will be okayed by the censors.”

Let’s hang on to hear the final verdict…
